While in Canberra, our family visited Yarralumla Play Station, which is located within Weston Park. We were excited to try our hand at mini-golf, which is one of the main activities offered at the Play Station, and the one which appealed to the mix of ages in our family. We had heard great things about the course, especially its interesting and fun Canberra-themed holes.
We were not disappointed when we stepped onto the mini-golf course. Each of the 18 holes was carefully designed to showcase a unique aspect of Canberra. One hole was a miniature version of Parliament House, complete with tiny flags and a miniature statue of Queen Elizabeth II. Another hole was a tribute to the city's famous hot air balloon festival, featuring a giant balloon basket as the target. Along with creative art, the design of the holes made the practical challenges of completing the course extra fun!
We felt like we were taking a mini tour of Canberra as we played through the course, and it made the game even more fun and engaging.
In addition to the mini-golf course, Yarralumla Play Station has many other activities for families to enjoy, including pony rides, train rides and a petting zoo. There's also an onsite cafe that serves delicious food and drinks.
Overall, our visit to Yarralumla Play Station was a wonderful experience that we would recommend to anyone visiting Canberra. To book, visit their website.
